Unbroken

The strongest period in my life falls on 1991-1993, when at the age of 19 I had to leave my hometown to “conquer the seas”.

All the emotions that fill my creative beginnings formed the basis of the “Unbroken” SS20 collection.

30 years of generating feelings resulted in shapes and colors. The sea is still the “cradle of thoughts” for me.
All the felt freedom was projected into volumes that give a comfortable space when moving. All sunsets and sunrises, shades of the sky and the sea - lay down in the color palette of things.

For example, the orange “roken buxa” (a classic fishing protective suit consisting of a jacket - “roken” and semi-overalls - “buksa”) gave life to our B1 and B2 windbreakers.
Sasha's stencil jumpsuit is a pure projection of our C1 Jumpsuit.
Wide trousers D3 and D11 - sailors' trousers.

As for the color palette, the shades of olive are taken from the warm quilted jacket that all sailors wear under the “roquin”. All the blues, greens, pinks and peppers are what I have seen day in and day out for all 256 boat days at sea. This distant time was reformatted through the prism of my perception and resulted in a wave in this collection.

This part of my life I want to capture as well as I can. Of the artifacts, I only have my dignity. a sailor's book and a small photo of the mother ship "Shalva Nadibaidze", which became my home at the age of 19.
